STI self-sampling kits
Due to stock supply issues we are unable to provide STI self-sampling kits until further notice.

Abuse survivors clinic
The ASC is a dedicated clinic offering specialised services to support anyone aged 13 or over who has been affected by sexual violence or abuse at any time in their lives.

Alcohol and substance misuse
Drink and drugs can make people feel less nervous, which might make having sex while drunk or high seem like a good idea.

Free condoms
Condoms are available for free from Umbrella clinics and pharmacies, and from some GPs.

Confidentiality
The Umbrella service is part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB).

Contraception services
Umbrella clinics and pharmacies offer a range of free contraception, and you can get some forms of contraception for free from your GP.

HIV testing
If you're aged 16 or above and living in Bimingham or Solihull, you can request a free sexually transmitted infection (STI) self-sampling kit and get tested from home.

Post-exposure prophylaxis after sexual exposure to HIV (PEPSE)
If you’ve had unprotected sex – sex without a condom, or you used a condom and it broke – with somebody who you think might be HIV positive within the last 72 hours, you may be able to avoid infection by taking PEPSE.

Please be aware that the number of walk-in appointments is limited and these are offered on a first come, first served basis.
