Contraception
Condoms
When male condoms are used correctly they are 98% effective at protecting against pregnancy, and they are the only method of contraception that helps to protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Condoms are usually made of very thin latex (rubber) or polyurethane. A condom stretches to fit over an erect penis or sex toy. Some condoms are lubricated to make them easier to use.
